Yay. Needs a list of things done, but it is still running. That’s a plus. It’s now a high milage vehicle.

Impressive!
What’s the deal with the striping on the front bumper?

Shit wrong with my 200K mile car:
Sunroof shade is stuck, possibly in another dimension at this point
Front swaybar end links are clunking
Door seal trim is un-gluing itself
A pillar trim has given up on living and are not long for this world
B pillar trim is MIA
Valve cover gasket needs doin’
Some how, somewhere, oil is leaving my engine.

It’s the 2000’s base lever trim black bumper. It’s just fading.
Strange part is the green part around the grill is same big plastic bumper cover/ grille area. .

Fading I understand, it’s the tiger striping that caught my attention.
Oh, FWIW there is a product called “Wipe New” made by Rustoleum that works better than anything else I’ve found for restoring those types of plastics. Made my FX45 look brand new and hasn’t faded a bit since the initial application. Kicks the comperable Mothers and Mcguiars products asses.

Welcome to the club! Just made it to 200k in my Miata a couple weeks ago. Still leaking oil at 1 qt/1500 miles, brakes have issues, my paint is nonexistant, but at least I have new tires and a fresh alignment! Just need to not run out of oil.

Not sure what’s going on with that. Maybe part of the molding process.
It can’t have anything to do with not being washed in a couple years.
